Para-history is a term used to describe a building or location's historical past, but from a unique paranormal or supernatural perspective. Most places of historical signifigance have their fair share of ghostly tales and legends. Many times these stories are richly steeped in the local culture and history of a region, and help to give us a glimpse into an all too often forgotten past.

As "Para-historians," Beyond Ghosts educates others about history and people from long ago, using the paranormal as a unifying theme. Exploration and investigation of asylums, forts, museums, prisons, and restaraunts, allow participants to experience "life" as it was decades prior. And reminds us that there was a time before our modern age of technology, when things were a lot different. In many ways, Beyond Ghosts has put an exclusive and unique "twist" on teaching History...by "showcasing the ghosts of our past."
